On April 8th, 2022 as part of the ASBU GAUM Friday Webinar Series which organized by ASBU Global Migration Center, Dr. Kerstin Schmidt presented her talk entitled “Changing Categories and Channels: Contemporary Migration to Germany”. Webinar was held in English via Zoom.

Dr. Kerstin Schmidt is a lecturer and researcher in the department of sociology at the Bielefeld University, Germany. She is currently interested in exploring the consequences of the legal and social categorizations of migrants.

In the webinar which hosted by ASBU GAUM Director Prof. Şebnem Akçapar, Dr. Kerstin Schmidt explained immigration to Germany and its effects.
