International Sociological Association (ISA) IXI World Congress of Sociology was held in Toronto, Canada on July 13-21, 2018. Dr. Senem Ertan, Assistant Professor of Political Sciences, participated the conference by presenting her paper titled ““How Women’s Associations’ Members Evaluate the Policies for Preventing Violence Against Women in Turkey”. Dr. Gökhan Savaş, Assistant Professor of Sociology, presented papers titled “Attitudes of Women’s NGO Members Towards Gender (In)Equality” and “Gender Double Standards in Turkey” at the same conference. Dr. Savaş also co-organized a regular session “Inequalities in Higher Education: The Global Struggle for Access, Sustainability, and Success”
