On 1 October 2019, as part of the first "ASBU-YDF East Asia Talks", Ankara University Faculty of Languages History and Geography (DTCF) Department of Eastern Languages and Literatures Head of the Department of Sinology Assoc. Prof. Gürhan Kırilen, presented his talk entitled "Historical Development of Chinese Language and Chinese Studies in Turkey". 

After the seminar, ASBU YDF students Zehra Şimşek and Tuğba Çanakçı, who attended the summer school program hosted by Xiamen University on July 3-16, 2019, shared their experiences in Beijing and Xiamen with the participants.
