(Fatma Aykanat holds her BA and MA degrees in English Literature. She received her PhD in British Cultural Studies at Hacettepe University, Ankara, in 2018 with her dissertation entitled “The British Climate Change Fiction in the Age of the Anthropocene: Ecocritical Readings of J.G. Ballard’s The Drowned World, Maggie Gee’s The Ice People and Ian McEwan’s Solar.” For the last seven years, she has been working as lecturer in the Department of English Language and Literature at Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University. Her research interests include ecocriticism, environmental philosophy, environmental aesthetics, ecopsychology, posthumanism, transhumanism, critical plant and animal studies, cultural studies, adaptation studies, Cli-Fi, and Sci-Fi.)
