(Prof. Dr. Burçin Erol is the Head of the Department of English Language and Literature at Hacettepe University. She completed her undergraduate and graduate degrees at Hacettepe University. In addition, she has received a master's degree from the University of Leeds with a thesis on the symbols of bulbul in the poems of John Lydgate, one of the most important poets of the Medieval Age. Besides, Professor Erol also studied English Cultural Studies at the University of Warwick in 1996. Erol, who keeps her academic studies as a Professor since 1996, is specialized in Medieval UK society and its literature and published many articles in this field.)
