Fatih Cemil Özbuğday is an associate professor of economics at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazit University, in the capital city, Ankara, Turkey. He received his B.Sc. degree in Business Administration from Başkent University. He holds a Master of Arts degree in Economics from Bilkent University, a Master of Science degree in International Economics and Finance, and a Research Master’s degree in Economics from Tilburg University. From 2009 to 2013, he was a Ph.D. researcher at Tilburg University. In 2011-2012, he was a visiting researcher at the Centre for Competition Policy of the University of East Anglia. He was also a member of Tilburg Law and Economics Center and an external researcher at the Office of the Chief Economist of the Netherlands Competition Authority between 2009 and 2012. He has been working at Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University since May 2013. Dr. Ozbugday’s primary research area is industrial organization, applied microeconomics, health economics, and energy economics. His recent academic work focuses on long-term care and resource efficiency. He is a board member of the UNESCO National Commission of Turkey (UTMK) and the head of the Expert Committee for Sustainable Development 2030 Goals.
