(Dr. Burcu Kayışçı got her bachelor’s degree at the department of Western Languages and Literatures at Boğaziçi University in 2004 and her masters degree in 2007 with her thesis on dystopias of Margaret Atwood and Ursula K. Le Guin. Dr. Burcu Kayışçı, who got her PhD with her dissertation entitled “Imagining the End: Comic Perspectives and Critical Spaces” at the department of Literary Studies at Monash University,in Australia in 2015, is currently a lecturer at Koç University. She is interested in utopia and dystopia fictions, ecocriticism, identity politics and narrative theories as research areas.)
