Assoc. Prof. Çağrı Koç of the ASBU Department of Business Administration has been ranked among the world's top 2% scientists according to study conducted by JPA Ioannidis (Stanford University), KW Boyack (SciTech Strategies, Inc), and J. Baas (Research Intelligence, Elsevier). 

The authors developed and used a composite index from citation metrics. Data set covers both 1996-2019 and single year impact. The scientific impact index created by using different variables such as the number of publications, citation numbers, h-index, author rankings, and quarter values of the journals. Within the scope of the index, 160,000 researchers, who are in the top 2% of 7 million scientists worldwide in 22 basic and 176 sub-disciplines, have been included in the "World's Most Influential Scientists" list.
