The "15th Knowledge, Economy and Management Conference" took place between 21 and 23 April in the Moroccan capital Rabat at Muhammad V University. The 15th International Conference on Knowledge, Economy and Management, which was organized by our university, the İstanbul Sabahattin Zaim University (IZU) and the Muhammed V University brought together a large number of academicians and students. İstanbul Sabahattin Zaim University (IZU) Dean of the Faculty of Business and Management Sciences, Prof. İbrahim Güran Yumuşak, explained that the conference has been organized since 2002 and that “this conference is the only one of international scope and contingency. Our main topic is the production of knowledge, dissemination and development of knowledge, R & D, innovation and other topics to be discussed, primarily by including academicians and sector representatives. Within this framework, 65 presentations were presented in our conference in 13 sessions. In addition to English and Turkish for the first time, French and Arabic papers were also presented.”
Prof. İbrahim Güran Yumuşak told that more than 100 academics from 12 countries attended the conference. “I hope that the congress that has been developing with the cooperation every year will come to a much better point in the coming years. We plan to have the next congress to be held in Uzbekistan" he added. Vice Rector of Muhammed V University, Prof. Ismail Kassou mentioned in his opening speech that they are attending the conference for the first time this year. He emphasized that conferences are places where scientists come together to exchange ideas, opinions and knowledge. He also said " Universities are places of knowledge generation. The more you publish, the more you share them with them scientists, the more you emerge. The conference brought scientific cooperation between Turkey and Morocco to an important point.”
The opening speech of the first day was given by Prof. Veysel Bozkurt from the İstanbul University with the title "The Changing Culture of Capitalism". On the second day, Prof. Raoup Radouane from Muhammed V University gave an opening speech entitled "Morocco and the Challenges of the Knowledge Economy". For two days, academics from various countries and universities made presentations on their areas of interest at Rabat Kampus of Muhammed V University. Traditional Moroccan cuisine was served at the gala dinner. Some of the participants visited the cities of Casablanca, Marrakech, Fes and Meknes before and after the conference.
