21st International Academic Conference on Islamicjerusalem Studies: The Future of Al-Aqsa Mosque

17-19 December 2021

Call For Papers

Al-Aqsa Mosque besides its religious centrality, has a strategic position in the past, present and future. Thus, Al-Aqsa Mosque and Bayt al-Maqdis are at the heart of the "future" history, not only of the Muslim World but the world as a whole. Within this framework, humanity's vision of its future is directly related to the future vision of al-Aqsa Mosque. This relationship requires studying "The Future of Al-Aqsa Mosque" from an academic point of view. Investigating this future based on the identity and history of al-Aqsa Mosque, taking into account the academic and scholarly dimensions, is not only a necessity but also an academic responsibility.

Hence, within this context, the 21st International Academic Conference on Islamicjerusalem Studies will be held 17-19/12/2021 in the city of Mardin, Turkey (face-toface) with the option to participate online (hybrid; depending on the conditions of the pandemic).
