Hasan Murat Ertuğrul is an Associate Professor of Economics and working as an Economic Counsellor in the Turkish Embassy in Rome. He previously worked as a senior associate at the Ministry of Treasury and Finance of the Republic of Turkey. He has so far taught at different universities at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. His current research focuses on applied macroeconomic modelling, forecasting, financial modelling and energy economics. Dr. Ertugrul’s work has been published in the Housing Studies, European Journal of Health Economics, Defence and Peace Economics, Current Issues in Tourism, Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews, among others. He has recently been a visiting fellow at the European University Institute.
